We want to generate and expand the driving power of our universities to increase the talent pool.

Spain has 87 universities, 67 R&D centers and 35 technology centers.

It is the fourth country in the EU with the highest number of professional scientists and engineers.

In the 2021-2022 academic year, more than 20,000 engineers graduated from our universities, of which more than 4,500 graduated in specific careers in the area of microelectronics and semiconductors, and more than 2,000 obtained a Master's Degree.

Universidad de Alcalá

The University of Alcalá has research groups dedicated to conducting research and innovative teaching in areas such as energy, power, the space sector, and sensing, employing semiconductor devices and including their development.

Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona

It integrates expert R&D groups in technology, devices, sensors, SoC/IP design, verification, and RF. It also offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in the field of microelectronics.

Universidad Autónoma de Madrid

his public university combines quality education, intensive research, and high employability with a strong social commitment, making it a benchmark in these areas, as recognized by various global indicators.

Universitat de Barcelona

The University of Barcelona is a research-intensive institution and a member of LERU, focusing on electronic technology, quantum technology, and optoelectronic technology. It has a strong research output, attracts funding for projects.

Universidad de Cantabria

The Microelectronics Engineering Group at the University of Cantabria was established in the 1979/1980 academic year, becoming one of the first activities in the country in the field of Microelectronics. Currently, it is composed of 18 researchers

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

A public university and stands among the most successful Spanish entities in the European Horizon 2020 Program (266 projects, 85 coordinated). It designs and characterizes electronic chips manufactured by Infineon, as well as photonic integrated circuits in collaboration with SMART Photonics BV and Fraunhofer HHI.

Universidad Complutense de Madrid

The UCM was founded by Cardinal Cisneros in 1499 and has been located in Madrid since 1836. It comprises 26 faculties and hosts 2 national research infrastructures (ICTS). Over the past years, an average of 70,000 students have received education in its classrooms.

Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha

The ARCO group has conducted research and development activities in the field of design, implementation, and integration of complex systems. Their work includes hardware design for the implementation of complex algorithms and applications.

Universidad de Extremadura

It has a research group with extensive experience in full custom design of analog, digital and mixed-mode ICs.

Universidad de Granada

The University of Granada is a European leader in Nanoelectronics with participation in numerous European projects (>15). It has a fully equipped Class 1000 cleanroom for the fabrication of silicon integrated circuits and two-dimensional materials, as well as a nanofabrication and microfluidics line.

Universidad de Málaga

Public institution with a broad academic offering and significant research activity. Founded in 1972, it has grown to around 45,000 members. It has 18 centers, offering 72 undergraduate programs, 73 official master's degrees, and 22 doctoral programs

Universidad del País Vasco

APERT is a research group at the School of Engineering in Bilbao focused on System-on-a-Chip digital systems (RISC-V, critical systems, etc.) and power electronics systems.

Universidad Politécnica de Madrid

Universidad Pública de Navarra

Universidad de Sevilla

It has been engaged in teaching and research in microelectronics for over 35 years. Currently, it has approximately 150 professionals specializing in microelectronic design. The institution offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in this field.

Universitat de Valencia

Founded in 1499, with a generalist approach and a strong international presence, it is the first university in Valencia, one of the top five in Spain, and one of the top 300 in the world.
